Data We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information — email address, name, username, password
  • Profile data — bio, avatar, gender, date of birth
  • Location — country, state, and city (provided during onboarding)
  • Phone number — optionally provided for account recovery

Information Collected Automatically

  • Voting activity — votes cast across lists, tournaments, and matchups
  • Purchase history — Zem purchases, subscription transactions, token usage
  • Device information — push notification tokens, device type, OS version
  • Usage data — features used, interactions with content

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the FanClash experience
  • Process transactions and manage your Zem wallet
  • Send push notifications about voting results, tournaments, and activity
  • Personalize your feed and content recommendations
  • Display leaderboards and public profiles
  • Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your data is shared only with the service providers required to operate FanClash:

  • Convex — backend database and server infrastructure
  • RevenueCat — payment processing for in-app purchases and subscriptions
  • Expo — push notification delivery

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you request account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, including:

  • Account and profile information
  • Voting history across all lists and tournaments
  • Zem balance — both purchased and earned (non-refundable)
  • Social data — followers, following, comments, likes
  • Created content — vote lists, feed posts, predictions
  • Tournament participation records and results

How to Delete Your Account

To delete your account, follow these steps in the FanClash app:

  1. Open the FanClash app on your device
  2. Go to the Profile tab (bottom right)
  3. Scroll down to the Settings section
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Your account will be disabled immediately and all data permanently deleted within 30 days.

Before You Delete

  • Cancel any active subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play first
  • Any remaining Zem balance will be forfeited and is non-refundable
  • This action is permanent and cannot be undone
  • You can create a new account after deletion, but no data will be recoverable
